1910s Antique Edwardian Granny Boots~Two Tone Olive Green Leather Vintage Lace Up 10” Length

One of many Edwardian women’s boots/shoes that we have for sale in our TeaTimeClothing1900s Etsy shop.

FEATURES: A simply gorgeous pair of antique Edwardian era two tone smooth leather lace up “Granny Boots”. They have 20 pairs of external eyelets.

COLOR: Grey (with hints of sage green) Fabric canvas and deep olive green uppers. Made from authentic smooth leather, canvas and cotton twill, with naturally distressed details.

MARKINGS: Stamped into the bottoms is a label that reads: “SSCo. Good Rochester N.Y. Shoes”.
The numbers inside read as follows: 245 88232 where the “245” is a Millimeter shoe sizing (245) (this can cross over to a US 6-6 ½ ) and the “88232” is the model/serial or style number. Embossed in black lettering at the top leather band inside is “THE NATHAN MERC. CO.”

CONDITION: Rare antique condition! *strong & wearable
NOTABLE ISSUES: Refer to last photo for up close photos of notable issues….(creases, tiny spot, pinholes and a hand stitched repair). The small hand stitched repair is inside the L boot at the top. The tiny spot is located at the top of the R boot next to the top eyelet. The olive green leather has some minor discoloration and a polish bleed at the back of the L boot where the heel meets the sole.
CONDITION FEATURES: All the external and internal seam work is all in good shape. The cotton twill inside (lining) is clean and in also in good condition. The leather insoles are clean and both insoles have new white felt/wool heel pads. The grey fabric tongues still have their cloth backing on them. The bottom leather soles are in great condition, as are the wooden Cuban Heels with a full complement of leather heel caps.

(Ie: torn eyelets, tearing of seams inside or outside, separating or tearing of leather-all due to age). Please bear in mind, these shoes are well over a Century old, so integrity or long term durability cannot be guaranteed due to the age of antique shoes. This is an As-Is purchase.

Heel to toe length measurement 10”
Heel to toe length-9 1/4” (inside)
Ball of foot width: 2 3/4”(across the bottom)
Ball of foot width: 2 3/8” (inside)
Outer Arch circumference: 8 1/2”
Heel to high top height: 10”
Heel height: 2”

*Very narrow width. (refer to photos for up close details).
