FEATURES: WHAT A RARE ANTIQUE FIND~A TAGGED EDWARDIAN 2PC GARMENT, PURCHASED FROM A STORE BACK IN ITS DAY! (The tags have long ago worn, so we can no longer detect writing/brand… But it is very rare indeed to find womens Edwardian garments that are store bought and not handsewn).
THIS IS A 2PC GIBSON GIRL STYLE DRESS circa 1900-1910s…..”CAN YOU SEE A HER OUT STROLLING WITH HER PARASOL IN THE PARK?” THIS IS A WONDERFUL ADDITION FOR ANY COLLECTOR!

THE OUTFIT IS MADE FROM CRISP COTTON FIBER CONTENT, FEATURING A BLACK AND WHITE CHECKERED GINGHAM PRINT.
-THE WAIST SHIRT HAS A PIGEON BUSTLINE WITH A RELAXED BODICE THAT FEATURES PINTUCK DETAILS ACROSS THE SHOULDERS. (I have included a double sided Edwardian button from my vintage collection as a free gift. It features a mother of pearl front and a brass colored backing which buttons both sides of the collar featured in the photos) THE BODICE ALSO INCLUDES CENTER FRONT BUTTON CLOSURES DOWN THE SHIRT, AS WELL AS A PLEATED BACK.
-THE SKIRT HAS A LOVELY EXTRA FULL 144” SWEEP, (WITH GATHERING IN THE BACK) AND FEATURES A RUFFLED HEMLINE AND IS COMPLETED WITH AN ANKLE/FLOOR LENGTH, DEPENDING ON YOUR HEIGHT.
-PLEASE NOTE:
*BOTH PIECES HAVE BEEN FRESHLY LAUNDERED AND PRESSED. FABRIC IS SOFT AND WEARABLE. See below for condition notes and measurements.

CONDITION: LOVELY ANTIQUE CONDITION-FABRIC IS SOFT AND CLEAN. STRONG AND WEARABLE-(Outfit has been freshly hand laundered, flat dried and pressed. No spot treatments or chemicals were applied. This garment is approximately 110 years old, please handle/wear with great care. Sold AS-IS.

NOTABLE ISSUES: SOME ISOLATED AREAS OF YELLOWING (COLLAR, UPPER BACK/SHOULDERS, AND ON THE SKIRT) TINY BROWN SPOTS (THEY ARE NOT PREDOMINANT, AND BLEND WELL INTO THE CHECKERED PRINT) YOU HAVE TO REALLY HUNT FOR THESE NOTABLES). A COUPLE OF TINY HAND STITCHED REPAIRS (ALONG HEMLINE ON SHIRT). A LARGER BROWN SPOT ON THE BACK OF THE RIGHT SHOULDER (APPROX 2” ACROSS) A repair, and a Black grosgrain ribbon was added on the inside of the skirt waistband to provide support/reinforcement.
