A RARE FIND! CLEAN, STRONG & WEARABLE-A STUNNING Circa 1890s VICTORIAN 2PC DAY DRESS. THE TOP FEATURES A LIGHT WEIGHT SHEER COTTON FABRIC, (JUST PERFECT FOR SUMMERTIME). IT IS EMBELLISHED WITH VERTICAL WHITE EYELET PANEL INSERTS, DELICATE PALE BLUE FLORAL PRINT, AND A COTTON BIAS TAPE TIE BELT (that can tie in front or back for a cinched waist). ALINE SKIRT WITH OVERSIZED SWEEP. FEATURES A DOUBLE ROW OF WHITE SILK RUFFLES AT THE SKIRT HEMLINE (shown here with a full length crinoline-not included) LARGE CHEVRON PINTUCKS. BOTTOM FOURTH OF THE SKIRT IS LINED.

CONDITION: GOOD ANTIQUE CONDITION. WEARABLE-(WITH GREAT CARE).

NOTABLE ISSUES-REFER TO LAST PHOTO for up close details of notable issues (or message me for further photos).
1) Some isolated, faint brown spots-(refer to last photo for up close details)-Further soaking could remove? I only hand laundered-I did not soak for an extended period of time.
2) Two Hand stitched repairs on back of the shoulders-The print helps to camouflage it.
3) Two interfacing strips were placed inside the garment to repair 2 tears in the fabric, they have been reinforced with hand stitching-(Placed on the upper back/shoulder areas). Refer to photos.
4) Some light yellowing inside the sheer collar area. 5) Fabric has faded directly underneath (on the underarm seam)-not terribly visible from the outside. You could also Heirloom dry/spot clean to further remove spotting. (Refer to last two photos for up close details of the notable issues). * Cannot guarantee long-term durability/wearability due to the age of the fabric and threads please handle with care if attempting to wear... this is sold as - is.
