c1910s Edwardian True Antique Gown Vintage Dress Appliqué Lace S/XS

A LOVELY 1900-1910s EDWARDIAN TEA GOWN. APRICOT COLORED FABRIC (FEELS LIKE SILK?) WITH OUTER PEPLUM/SKIRT OVERLAY THAT WRAPS AROUND THE HIPS. LOTS OF FINE DETAILS AND EMBELLISHMENTS INCLUDING LARGE FLORAL APPLIQUÉ, PINTUCKS, LACE RUFFLES, GOLD HANGING TASSELS and FLORAL BROCADE FABRIC. HOOK & EYE CLOSURES ALL DOWN THE BACK, AND A LOVELY DRAPING TO A SLIGHT V SHAPE DOWN THE BACK CENTER SEAM.

SIZE/MEASUREMENTS:

*fully functional hook & eye closures with inner cotton bodice/cami. it was just a little too snug on the upper back and I did not want to force, pictured here on my modern size 2 dress form and seemed to fit well with the exception of the upper back. dress form measurements-32x25x34 )

DRESS MEASUREMENTS: 32 BUST (MEASURED FLAT, WITH EXTRA ROOM IN THE FULL BUST) 22 WAIST, 1/2 SLEEVES, HIPS 38, BODICE LENGTH 13.5, SKIRT LENGTH 39.5, TOTAL LENGTH 53, SMALL DRAPED PEPLUM IN BACK 56” WIDE. HEM SWEEP 56

CONDITION: RARE ANTIQUE CONDITION! COULD BE WEARABLE WITH GREAT CARE.

NOTABLE ISSUES: Some Fading, yellowing, and spots (fortunately the long overlay/peplum covers many of the spots on the lower front skirt). Hook and eye closures down the back. *Refer to last photo for up close notables. some slight storage smell-needs airing (Refer to last photo for up close notable issue details) For any attempt at cleaning: PROPER HEIRLOOM DRY CLEANING IS RECOMMENDED.
